The Live Dispatch board is the heart of the Work module. It shows every dispatchable technician on a single grid with their day laid out in hour blocks, so you always know where everyone is and where they're going next.
Open it
Click Work in the module navigator, then click the Live Dispatch button in the schedule header (or use the Live Dispatch / Day / 3 Days / Week view toggle). The board defaults to today.
Read the layout
Each row is one technician. The left side of the row shows:
- Avatar and name
- Job role (General Service, Lead Technician, etc.)
- Availability — a green Available, yellow Busy, or grey Off indicator
- Capacity — jobs scheduled today and hours, plus a progress bar showing utilization
The grid to the right shows time slots. Toggle 24-Hour View at the top of the row if you need to see overnight or early-morning blocks.
Assign jobs
The Inbox on the right side of the page groups unassigned work by priority: Unassigned, Critical, Follow-up Visit, Review, Callback Required, Ready, Parking Lot. Drag a card from the Inbox onto a technician's time slot to assign it. The card will snap to the closest valid block and the tech's capacity bar will update.
You can also ask your AI Assitant to schedule jobs for you and find optimization oppertunities. If will automatically do so as things chnage, but you can ask as you try to modify the board for a helping hand.
Other useful controls
- Filters at the top — Status, Priority, Job Type — narrow what you see without losing context.
- Today / Tomorrow / This Week / Next Week quick-jumps for fast navigation.
- Map View (top right of the schedule) switches to a routed map view for the same day — see Route optimization.
